My journey with Amazon Web Services (AWS) began when cloud computing was introduced in one of my university subjects. Before that, I had primarily focused on backend development, but learning about cloud computing opened my eyes to how modern applications are built, deployed, and scaled around the world.
What immediately caught my attention was how efficient and cost-effective cloud computing can be. Instead of purchasing and maintaining physical infrastructure, organizations can provision resources on demand and only pay for what they use. The flexibility and scalability of cloud services motivated me to learn more about AWS and pursue my first cloud certification.
My Learning Resources
To prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02) exam, I focused on understanding cloud fundamentals, AWS core services, security concepts, pricing models, and best practices.

Two Months of Preparation
I dedicated approximately two months to preparing for the exam. During this period, I reviewed AWS concepts consistently, studied service use cases, and completed multiple practice exams.
The practice exams played a major role in my preparation. They helped me become familiar with the style of AWS certification questions and gave me confidence as my scores gradually improved.
Exam Day Experience
Once I started achieving strong results on my practice tests, I decided to schedule my first AWS certification exam.
During the exam, I encountered several questions that were more challenging than expected. Some scenarios were intentionally worded in a confusing way and required careful analysis of the requirements before selecting the best answer.
Fortunately, my preparation helped me recognize key concepts and eliminate incorrect options. While some questions required extra thought, I was able to stay calm and apply what I had learned throughout my study journey.
Lessons Learned
Passing the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification was a rewarding milestone in my cloud journey. Beyond earning the certification itself, I gained a much deeper understanding of cloud computing fundamentals, AWS services, security, pricing, and architectural best practices.
This achievement strengthened my interest in cloud computing and motivated me to continue learning more advanced AWS services, infrastructure, containerization, and DevOps practices.
For anyone planning to take the CLF-C02 exam, my advice is simple: build a strong foundation using quality learning resources, take plenty of practice exams, and focus on understanding concepts rather than memorizing answers.
